Our 24-bed facility provides a peaceful and supportive environment for individuals to begin their journey towards recovery. WHY CHOOSE US

The ADTC Difference

At our substance abuse treatment center for North Carolina citizens, we believe in treating the whole person, addressing not only the physical aspects of addiction but also the underlying emotional and psychological factors that contribute to substance abuse. That's why we have a team of dedicated professionals, including four full-time therapists and a psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, who work closely with each individual to develop personalized treatment plans.

Our comprehensive approach to addiction treatment includes a 7-day detox program followed by a 30-day inpatient residential program. During detox, individuals receive medical supervision and support to safely withdraw from drugs or alcohol, while our residential program provides a structured environment for ongoing therapy, education, and support.

For veterans and first responders, we offer specialized treatment tracks that focus on trauma-informed care, recognizing the unique challenges and experiences that these individuals may face. Our programs incorporate evidence-based therapies such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), designed to address trauma and promote healing.

Addiction Treatment For First Responders and Military Veterans

At American Detox and Treatment, we are deeply committed to serving those who have served our country and communities with honor and dedication. Recognizing the unique challenges and experiences faced by military veterans and first responders, we have developed specialized pathways tailored to meet their distinct needs and support their journey toward recovery.

Our pathways for military veterans and first responders are grounded in trauma-informed care, understanding that many individuals in these professions may have been exposed to highly stressful and traumatic events during their service. We approach treatment with sensitivity and empathy, creating a safe and supportive environment where individuals feel understood and respected.

At our treatment center, we honor the service and sacrifice of military veterans and first responders by providing them with the highest quality of care and support on their journey towards recovery. If you or a loved one is a veteran or first responder in need of addiction treatment, we are here to help you take the first steps towards a brighter and healthier future.

Healing Starts With Us

The Importance of Comprehensive Treatment Services

Drug detox and residential inpatient treatment play pivotal roles in the journey of addiction recovery, providing crucial support and structure during a vulnerable and challenging time.

Safety and Medical Supervision

Drug detox is the initial phase of recovery where individuals undergo the process of eliminating substances from their bodies. This stage can be accompanied by uncomfortable and sometimes dangerous withdrawal symptoms. In a supervised detox program, individuals receive medical care and support to manage these symptoms safely, reducing the risk of complications and ensuring their physical well-being.

Stabilization and Preparation

Detox sets the stage for the rest of the recovery journey by helping individuals achieve physical stabilization. Once detox is complete, individuals are better prepared to engage in the deeper work of addressing the psychological and emotional aspects of addiction.

Breaking the Cycle

Residential inpatient treatment provides a structured environment free from the triggers and temptations of the outside world. By temporarily removing individuals from their familiar environments and routines, inpatient treatment helps break the cycle of addiction and provides a supportive space for focusing on recovery.

Therapeutic Interventions

In residential inpatient treatment, individuals have access to a range of therapeutic interventions and modalities tailored to their needs. These may include individual therapy, group counseling, family therapy, experiential therapies, and more. These interventions help individuals gain insight into the root causes of their addiction, develop coping skills, and cultivate healthier behaviors and attitudes.

Community and Support

In inpatient treatment, individuals are surrounded by a community of peers who are on similar journeys towards recovery. This sense of camaraderie and support can be invaluable, fostering connection, understanding, and encouragement. Additionally, the presence of trained professionals ensures that individuals receive the guidance and support they need at every step of the way.

Education and Skill-Building

Residential inpatient treatment offers opportunities for education and skill-building related to addiction, recovery, relapse prevention, and life skills. Individuals learn valuable tools and strategies that they can carry with them beyond treatment, empowering them to navigate challenges and maintain their sobriety in the long term.
